QA Service List
Please consider Latis Global’s Game Quality Assurance (QA) services for all your gaming needs.
Want your players to experience next-level gaming? With comprehensive, customized game QA services tailored to our clients’ needs, we will walking alongside you every step of the way, before and after the release of the game. From Functional QA to live QA, compatibility QA, and FGT, for the perfect game development and launch, Latis Global is the answer to all your QA needs.
Functional QA
Functional QA is the process of authenticating the basic operation and stability of the game,
including verifying in-game functions, logging
and bug handling, and resolving crash and critical
vulnerability issues. To do this, test cases are
created, tests for key functions are prioritized,
and verification and regression testing
are performed.
Live QA
During the game service operation stage, Live QA
is responsible for quality control. To guarantee the
stability of live games, we review updates and
ensure quality, as well as perform QA on updates
in real-time. Additionally, it prevents the spread
of critical bugs based on user feedback and
real-time monitoring, as well as provides
useful data for game operation.
Compatibility QA
Compatibility QA evaluates the game’s ability to run
on various devices and operating systems. We do
so by checking the compatibility with over 150
devices. In particular, our priority is to test on
devices widely used in major markets such as
North America, China, and Japan, in addition to
comprehensivel reviewing software compatibility
with all the different versions of a particular OS.
Performance QA
Performance QA is the process of evaluating a game’s
hardware requirements and its stability. This process
assesses overload risk by monitoring FPS and heat,
measuring CPU, RAM, and battery usage, etc. We check
for performance degradation during long-term play
across specific product lines, various OS, and build
versions, as well as perform a comprehensive
analysis with prime focus on major devices.
Focus Group Testing (FGT)
FGT is the process of evaluating the gameplay experience across
a variety of user groups for the game in focus. Forming customized
tester groups which reflecta specific target audience, intuitive user
feedback from the front lines can be collected. Important databases
based on this can be garnered and used for improving the game’s
UX/UI as well as possibly adjusting the difficulty level. To ascertain
whether a launch will be successful, we conduct pre-live launches as
well as provide guidance to ensure continued success
after a launch goes live.
Balance QA
We analyze in-game data and
content to test balance across characters,
levels, and systems—ensuring a fair
and engaging player experience.
FUN QA
We test core gameplay elements
and user reactions to evaluate what makes
the game fun—offering insight into player
engagement and market appeal.
Security QA
We test for security vulnerabilities
such as data leaks, unauthorized access, and
in-game exploits to ensure your game is
safe and reliable.
Market Inspection QA
We verify regional compliance and
market requirements to ensure your game
meets platform standards and
is ready for global launch.
High Quality
The FGT Process
FGT is an important tool to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze user experience during the game development process.
Depending on your goals and environment, be sure to utilize the appropriate approach be it online or offline.
STEP 01
Assigning FGT Testers
- Professionals with FGT experience oversee test plans as well as arrange for materials and resources.
STEP 02
Test Plans and Participant Recruitment
- Defining the Type of FGT (Online/Offline)
- Recruitment is done using our extensive internal tester database
- User groups that match the game genre and goals are selected
- For offline FGTs, a suitable location to conduct testing is procured
- An NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) is signed
STEP 03
Testing in Progress
- Online FGT: Users play the game in their own environment and submit their feedback
- Offline FGT: Users play in designated locations. Real-time reactions are observed, and interviews are conducted
STEP 04
Data Collection and Analysis
- Compile gameplay logs, surveys, and interviews
- Analyze user behavior patterns, problems, and responses
STEP 05
Reflect on Feedback and Improvements
- Based on the collected data, areas that need improvement are identified.
- Work with the development team to make changes and conduct additional testing
Online FGT
- Lowers the cost with large-scale recruitment
- Easy recruitment and massive data collection
- Able be tested in various environments
- Global and local users can directly participate in the test, allowing for responses from various cultures
Offline FGT
- Immediate responses and detailed feedback
- Directly observe game playing behavior
- Developers can visit the testing site in-person to observe users' play patterns and immediately identify areas for improvement
- Facilitates in-depth interviews and analyzes user responses
QA Process Sample for each stage
A variety of tests are available in Game QA. What test to use is dependent which stage this is implemented in game development progress.
By resolving issues found at each stage early, this has a significant impact on the overall savings of resources down the line.
In order to conduct efficient and reasonable QA, we recommend going with Alpha → Beta → Open Beta → Live in our QA services for optimal benefits.
Alpha Stage QA
The focus here is on the initial verification of core functions to ensure basic stability.
- Flexible Functional QA according to development changes
Beta Stage QA
The focus here is on the initial verification of core functions to ensure basic stability.
- Function
- Compatibility
- F.G.T
- Performance QA
Open Beta Stage QA
Tests are conducted under actual environmental conditions for the user. This identifies server stability issues as well as problems during such live environments.
